Jesus was not crucified because of his miracles or healings, but because of his teaching. Everyone knew - his words are powerful.

When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were awestruck at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their experts in the law.

The way of Jesus is our only hope to withstand the storms of life. All other ground is sinking sand.

Knowing Jesus and, even more importantly, allowing ourselves to be known by Jesus, is the goal of the gospel.
